Fun Events Around Town
Having a well-rounded child, metaphorically not physically, is the goal of just about every parent. With this in mind most of us are always looking for activities outside of school to enhance our children’s lives. Below are a few activities happening around town that can help engage children in a variety of ways (a few of them are even free!).
- Tiger Cubs recruitment night is Friday September 3rd 7pm-8pm at Hunters Creek Elementary. Tiger Cubs age requirements are for Age 7 or 1st Graders. For more information about The Boy Scouts in Central Florida please click here. For more information about Pack 996 click here.
- Lowes Home and Garden offers free clinics for children called: Lowes Build and Grow. This Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 10 am to 11 am will be: Back to School Event: Building a School Bus. Another workshop will be held September 11, 2010, from 10am to 11am. This workshop will teach how to build a Pet Leash Hanger. You must RSVP online to participate: http://lowesbuildandgrow.com
- Home Depot offers a similar workshop program the first Saturday of the month. The next event will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 9am to 11am. - Hunters Creek Soccer Club will be holding its final opportunity to walk-in register for the Fall 2010 Soccer season. The registration will be held this Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Cristpers in Hunters Creek.
